Choosing an agent

When you start considering buying a home, you may spend many hours scanning the newspaper, surfing the web, looking through real estate publications, driving around looking for signs, touring For Sale By Owners and visiting open houses.  After a few weeks of this, you may say to yourself, "Why am I doing this?"  A professional Realtor, like those of the Sharon Hoorwitz Team, can save you a lot of time.  We are full-time professionals; this is our area of expertise.

It is important to choose your Realtor wisely.  In a market where properties are priced to sell, and where the supply of homes is far outstripped by the demand, your Realtor will be able to tell you about homes that may otherwise sell before you even become aware of them.

Buyer Agency

When you list your home with a Realtor, you are enlisting an agent, someone who can negotiate on your behalf.  When you sell your home, you can do the same thing.  Most serious buyers will sign a buyer broker agreement, which ensures that they have an agent working on their behalf.  A buyer agent will be able to find you more properties, familiarize you with the area, assist you in locating the right property, act as a liaison between you and the sellers or the sellers' agent, recommend financial alternatives, write the purchase agreement, explain the buying process, and represent you.  Your agent, once you sign a buyer agency agreement, is bound to represent your best interests.

The Sharon Hoorwitz Team

Sharon Hoorwitz and her team have consistently represented buyers since buyer agency disclosure went into effect in New York State.  She is skilled in guiding her clients through the lending process and negotiating the offer, and has a full-time closing department to help ease the transaction through closing.

Negotiating: Years of experience afford Sharon's clients the best negotiation skills available in the marketplace.  Her success is measured by her satisfied clients - whose references are always available upon request.

Closing: The Sharon Hoorwitz team skillfully guides you through each step of the buying process up to closing.  We keep track of important dates, and recommend other professionals to help you – lenders, inspectors, and attorneys.  While we don’t “close” the house for you, we’ll make sure that everything is in order so you can.

After the Sale: Sharon wants to be "Your Realtor for Life."  She will be in touch to answer any questions you may have and to offer advice.  Sharon's business has been built and is sustained on referrals from her satisfied buyer and seller clients.  A referral is the highest compliment you can pay anyone.  Put the top Real Estate Team of Sharon Hoorwitz to work for you!
